Chinese Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine has thousands of years of history and is one of the most important and widely used therapeutic methods in Chinese culture. The earliest publication of herbal medicine Shennong Ben Cao Jing (神農本草經) dated back to 206BC.
Since then, Chinese herbal medicine has been refined by generations of practitioners. Research is still being carried out nowadays to further understand the intricate usage of herbs to treat illnesses.
Often used side by side with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine ‘treats’ the imbalance of our body by strengthening what is weak, or expelling what is in excess. As we all have unique constitutions, the same symptom can be a manifestation of different underlying patterns on different people. Therefore, each herbal formula is tailor made specifically considering the person’s condition.
How do I take the herbs?
Don’t worry about finding a clay pot or setting aside hours to wait for the raw herbs to be cooked. We prescribe granulated herbal concentrate which is easily mixed with hot water.
It is also easy to take with you to work or to travel.
